HPISD students and our community are working to rapidly raise funds to support Dallas ISD students who have been directly impacted by Sunday’s tornadoes. Our goal is to provide assistance to more than 3,000 students with basic needs: food, clothing, and school supplies.
The Park Cities Dads Club and all HPISD PTAs are supporting this effort. This initiative will begin this Friday at the varsity football game and end next Friday, November 1. All funds raised will be used to purchase gift cards to be given by onsite school staff who will assess and determine individual student needs.
Members of the Park Cities Dads Club will be available at Highlander Stadium to take up a collection prior to, during and after the game.
Students are encouraged to open lemonade stands, sell baked goods, take up collections from friends and neighbors or to come up with their own ideas of ways to raise funds to contribute to the cause.
All of the funds collected by the Park Cities Dads Club, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, are going to the relief effort, and contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law.
